This is from an email I received last night; too late for the entire event, but the weekend activities still look interesting.

Visiting Artist and Open House in the Art Metals Department
Hello everyone,
For some of you, it has been a while since we have seen each other. I hope you are doing well and that you are making beautiful things in the world. I wanted to let you know that we are going to have a visiting artist, Tedd McDonah (some of you may have met him in 2009) back to SFA for a visiting artist presentation. Public is welcome at all of the sessions. He will be here on Thursday, January 31st giving a demo in Art 139 from 8-10:40. He will also have a presentation on Thursday at 4:45 in the Art History room. After his presentation, at around 5:30, we will have an open house in the metals studio with refreshments and student art work for viewing. The metals studio has gone through a lot of wonderful changes, and we want to show the alumni, friends and community that we are working hard. Please join us for these events- you will always be such a big part of the metals family. On Friday, February 1, and Saturday, February 2, Tedd and I will continue to work hard from around 9-12 and 2-5 each day. Please come and watch mokume gane fusing, blacksmithing and tool making. I miss seeing you all and I hope I get to see you again soon. Let me know if you have any questions.
