I'm surprised there hasnt been more talk about the 484 Nakamura.... M390 spearpoint, grooved G-10 scales. Looks pretty darn sweet!

Personally I would prefer something a bit larger, but perhaps a larger version will follow.
 
I think it looks like a very nice knife and I'll probably eventually like to get one. I like the 3" blade length for EDC and already have a 586 Mini-Barrage and 930 Kulgera. In steel and dimensions/weight it appears to be very similar to the 586 Mini-Barrage (which I love).

Any idea when they will be available?

I see BladeHQ is taking pre-orders but other than that, no idea....

I'm really hoping there will be larger version out some time.
 
I have 2 on pre-order at BHQ, I think it looks perfect and I am more excited about this than any other 2014 BM knife. :stoked:
 
I got to handle a prototype a a few weeks ago. It felt like a fantastic small EDC. Nice and solid in hand with a slight swept in the blade. The G10 is actually quite thick. It actually feels similar to a mini grip with the palm swell but much much better.
 
next to the stryker, it's the next most anticipated one on my list. I agree about length statement too; would have preferred it getting closer to the 3.5" mark. snagging one regardless, it looks like a tank.
 
This version looks very promising, esp. in M390; and with the Axis upgrade is worth a look. I didn't trust the 'Nak-Lok" the older Shoki design employed, and sold it. Favoring knives in the 3" plus/minus range, this holds interest and I would look for a few reviews of one when you guys have yours.
 
I just got a call from BHQ that these are shipping out today and tomorrow if you pre-ordered it. I am excited about this one. First of all it's M390, the handle looks ergonomic, and the blade length is just about perfect for my use.

I am hoping that it ends up feeling like a fancy (and slightly larger) version of this wonderful knife: H&K 14210 Snody
 
I think that is a fair comparison, I can see the similarities to the 14210. I have one of those on the way as well so I can really get down to brass tacks on comparing the two. :D

Did yours get shipped already?

The 484 Nakamura is one of only two Benchmades I'm getting this year (pending new models at Blade Show) with the other being the 940-1. Both have premium materials and just hoping that the quality is also premium.
