I like it!!!!!! Now mine isnt so rare though :D

She's an awesome user!!!!!!

Wh4f,did you strip yours down? Mine didnt start out with that in mind. I kind of nicked the finish when I was removing the v bevel so I decided to just rub the rest of it off.

Ok,,,I'll ask.... How???

and that chair could be worth a few bucks!!

and yes!! I like it.... the knife too!!! :)

Ask how what? How I nicked the finish? Well I thought I would try sharpening a little differant way. I thought I would use some sand paper and a strop. I have an old Buck stockman that was from my first stepdad that passed away back in 1984 or 1985. I always thought it was ashame that Buck didnt make them like that anymore. But recently I realized what it was. I never seen him use a stone to sharpen it. He always used an old razor strap. So I did it to a few of my new Case pocket knives and liked the way it looked so I decided to do it to my hunting knife. Well at first I had to little of an angle on it so the finish started rubbing off but the edge was mirroed polished. So I decided hey what the heck go for it. Its a user, if it doesnt turn out pretty well just buy another one for looking at and keep on using this one. Well I finished it off rubbing the whole thing down with 2000 grit paper. Not that I had any issues with the finish, kind of liked it. But all scratched up I though why nit try and see what happens.

As far as the chair goes, I just need to fix it. The frame is good.

Wh4f can you post a picture of your plain vanguard? I rememeber seeing the picture of it without the logo but not without the finish. I just would like to see how yours turned out.

Mine rubbed right off. Mine was one of the lighter colored ones. My first AG that I sent back it scrathced up pretty easy also. Maybe thats why they started rounded off the edges and putting it on darker. Good ,now I dont feel like a copy cat.

LOL, I wouldnt worry about that! She looks nice! You got a nice finish on that blade! I thought originally it just looked light because of the lighting or glare. I didnt even realize she was stripped!

I really like it! A Vanguard Stripper :D

Cool info!!! Thanks! 2000 grit sounds like a lot of work!!

That is a nice job, KY! And to echo Pack Rat, it must have taken a lot of work with 2000 grit.

I finished it off with 2000 grit. I didnt start off with 2000. I started 600, 1500, and then 2000. I really like it.
