Did someone partly sand the coating off within the range of the cut?

I saw pictures, where a BR was sanded off completely. I consider to sand off my HR only partly. Are there experiences thereby?

I've nearly removed all the coating from my BR to improve cutting ability. I now have no or nearly no edge bevel at all. It cuts like a maniac

I have completly stripped the coating off my BR. Did it with some industrial paint remover and alot of elbow grease and scotch brite pads.
