Naked RATS and wood

It started with a piece of scrap wood, a couple of naked RATs ( RC-4 and Izula), and a little time to spend while he was smoking some chicken on the grill..

it is a long piece of wood for this project so it is getting carved in half.

now one half is just getting carved... all this work is being done with the RC-4

The Izula steps in to carve the hole.

The finished product is called a bullroarer.

preliminary testing showed the need for some additional flattening, so now the RC-3 came out to do the finish work.

the bullroarer in use... the sound is indescribable.

You should hear it for 30 or 45 seconds when the site opens. I've got to make one of these and freak out the neighbors , I wonder how far the sound travels
