Please note that Spark has made a decision on the name chance. And if you look at the Manufacturer's forum main page, we no longer have a link to Taylor/Schr***.

Wasn't the name we voted on, but I'm content. I don't think it would be out of line to add a thank you to Spark to the thread above. A small victory, but a satisfying one.

Schrade knives... the ones we love and appreciate, live on!

Phil

Schrade Knives Collectors Forum
Imperial Schrade Corp. - maker of Schrade Knives & Tools, including the famous Uncle Henry and Old Timer Brands - all made in the USA. Since Schrade closed their doors, this forum has become a site for the collectors to meet and share information

Yeah Phil, once again ya done good. And I added my thanks to Spark as well. Putting "Imperial Schrade Corp." up there along with "all made in the USA" helps define us a bit too. Spark could just as easily pushed delete on us and sent us into oblivion, instead of giving us support and soothing our bruised egos and psyches.

He gives us good reason to strive to be the best forum here and to do the memory of Albert and Henry Baer and George Schrade and the Schrade brothers and generations of NY & RI USA Cutlers honor as we continue to be proud of them and their craftsmanship and innovation in the relics we collect.

Thanks for the kind words. But it is all of us that have made our mark here. Look at LT... half as many posts as I've made, but he's actually said so much more. And your own activity here, Mike. It's ALL of us. Individually, we would have been jousting a windmill. Together, we can do this... Make the Schrade Knives Collectors Forum the best archieve of Schrade facts, knowledge, information.

'Scuse me now, I'm so pumped up I'm gonna go out and kill me a Chinese dragon. Where's my BTO-1? (Forged blade, naturally.)

Everyone, please, thank the big guy down in the General Forum. Let's show him some sincere gratitude. Thanks for doing that, Bill and Mike.
Phil

Thankyou Sparky ( are you the pirate with one eye ?? ) You know prostetics have come a long way. Phil Are you now officially the immoderate marguarita moderator, time for Tim's name to come down. I know Tim, he is a great guy, but one man's duty tour assignment is anothers labor of love. I ( and I feel I can say, we ) want your name up in lights ( people like to shoot at lights and you will make a great target ). Remember as I mentioned before we are behind you shoving, er pushing er supporting you. No longer do we stagger er stand in the fold as Taylor touters, We are now Schrade toters, collectors, historians, er what else are we oh well you fill in the blank___________ and to the overwhelming mass of humanity which has shown its support in the voting all ( what was it 10 votes ) we have truly proven what an underwhelming force we are. LT PS Sincerely thanks to all especially Phil who carried the ball. PPS Remember Phil some are born to greatness, some achieve it and some have it thrust upon them, the ache in your lower back in the future, may well be the result of that thrust.

This is a great site with a wealth of information, but the Schrade forum is why I joined. I look forward to learning a lot here.

Welcome, Redshanks! Glad you found us.

LT: Thank you. Tim Faust was a great representative of Schrade for a long time here. As good as Joe Houser is in the BUCK FORUM. Did he land on his feet? Doing well? Working or is he retired?
Phil

Phil,

Did you have a total of votes?

Just wund-er-in

Larry,

I think Spark voted "Chicago-Style" and it "swayed" the outcome of the vote..... :D

Bill

Larry.. and all. Spark just made his own decision on the new name. But he did go along with us on removing the link to Taylor/Sch***. Our vote helped if only to show there was interest in a change and that all of us were unanimous in our desire to see it happen. Wasn't my choice, but I can sure live with it.

Thanks to all of you who posted our thanks to the head pirate.

Phil

For those who haven't noticed, Tim Faust's name has been removed as moderator. We have, it seems, been released on our own recognicense. I never read a post by Tim, so I guess it is time for me to go archive diving again before they get deleted for bandwidth conservation.

Codger

Hoo-wee! I have never gone five years back in the search before! Very enlightening! Sorta like getting stuck in a time warp. Tim did seem to be very knowledgable, though his appearances were sporadic. I have to make the archive diving a habit before it is too late.

Codger; You probably already know this, but I found it by accident looking for Schrade info on Google.
http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/archive/index.php.f-32-p-1.html Note edit below

That took me to this forum but had an index with every post from 11/1/2000 on to the very latest posts today. I tried through Archive here but since I'm very recently computerized I didn't have any luck finding this sub forum in the archives. Like I said it's probably not news to you, but I thought it was pretty neat.

Edit: Unfortunately the url above is incomplete and no matter how I try to edit it, it will not print correctly, so please ignore this stupid post. If I could find the delete button I'd take the whole darned thing off.

Phil; You are my newest hero! It's easy for me to get in over my head . My kids bought me my first computer for my 72nd birthday last April. Btw I emailed you an answer to the sheaths with pics. Look for it. Thanks

Paul

Lobo; You are the folder nut, right? I found a mint black Schrade folder flap snap pouch sheath in the gun safe. If you want it PM me with address, other wise it's to the trash bin.

Paul

Paul,
Thank you for thinking of me....of course I would like it.

I've tried to send you a PM, but I think you have to go in your profile (User CP) and enable that feature.

Bill

Paul, Info sent.....

I don't know what's up with the PM....

Thanks again.

Bill
