I love my SAK Classic and find that I rarely need anything else to perform most cutting duties. However, I have two other models of what amounts to the same knife, but one has smooth aluminum scales, and the other has the textured alox scales.
The same sized knife, with the same layout but smooth aluminum scales was called the Companion.
Then I have the Diplomat, which is again the same size and layout, but with the textured aluminum, alox scales.
does anyone know when they dropped the other two "model" names and combined them into the Classic?
When I think of the Classic, I think of the toothpick and tweezers along w/the cellidor scales. Without those items, they just aren't the same.
