I use to have one, made a better weight than anything else, a survival knife??? was too heavy impractical, just my opinion, but was an interesting conversation piece though!

I had one of those about 25 years ago, and the first thing I did was toss those screw-in spikes into the garbage, as all they did was get in the way. Also, I couldn't find a good use for that "saw" on the back, as it got hung-up on anything I tried to saw with it. The blade...I never could get it very sharp, and it dulled pretty quickly.

Would I want another one? Heck no.

Thanks thats it.Back in the day I paid 75.00 for it.They are selling for close to 300.00 now.I think I would rather go with a one of the stryders if I was going to put that much in one.

300$ for a Buck Master  Only a hard core Buck collector would buy the knife at that price. I have a Buck M9 that I bought 5 years ago and tought at that time that it was the ultimate field knife  ...but like the Buck Master, it is too heavy to carry and not really user friendly. I am gone buy a Simonich Mid-Tech Raven to replace that knife once I get my Christmas bonus :D
