I came across a listing of historical Busse blades that had a ton of stuff not found in the "Collector" reference site. Thought I'd knock some cobwebs out of the rafters and do some brain yoga with the super freaks -

So probably an easy one because it's so different -

It's a plastic or kydex pattern of the actual 1-off Mighty Behemoth.
Think it had its own nickname, the Wooly Behemoth :)

What did I win? LOL

ETA: From Bad Mojo vvv

And there it is ~ and you were one of my pics of who would name it first ;) It is the "Wooly Behemoth" ... now for you, what in the hell is on that thing? So it's not a real blade then? I see there's no tubes in the scales - so a trick question maybe? :D

I imagine before wasting the steel, Jerry created the pattern out of plastic or kydex to see what he needed to see & feel before grinding the real deal. Also a good way to keep from reproducing if sold as a one-off if one were to keep those patterns around, but Jerry would know that answer much better than me. :) ...Maybe he didn't want to rule out a production run down the line?

ETA: Jerry likes to play, he probably made it look as real as possible with a pair of loose scales to post on the forum. :D

My guess would be --- being the drinker - "Hey, fire up that wire wheel and let's put some hair on that Behemoth!"
