Several years ago(when I still watched TV :) )- I caught a couple of episodes of a really good looking show. It was a survival training class, looked to be maybe 10-12 people in each. They dropped them on a mountain and gave them a list of survival based tasks. "Build a one man shelter, make something to boil water in..." Once per day they came into camp and evaluated each person on their skills. They also gave them team assignments, such as- move the group 4 miles down the mountain by sundown and this man has 2 broken legs.....

I do not remember the name of the shows and would like to look for the episodes on tape/dvd whatever I can find. Reminds me of what an old Scout master I had did with us on campouts. Former jarhead and a Hell of a Scout leader.
TIA,
Bill

If it is the show I am thinking of it was an actual military survival exercise. They would not only give them tasks to complete but they had to do evasion and escape drills. Then the D.I. would determine who was dead or injured and they would have to adapt to that and care for the injured or move with injured people.

Good show just can't remember the name.

Was it a military setting? If so the show is Survival School.

I don't think this is what you're thinking of but Les Stroud did something very similar with a group of teenagers.

Ray Mears also did something like that on Extreme Survival (season 2, episode 4). During that episode he hung out with military folks undergoing survival & escape/evasion training. He mostly observed and provided narration, but occasionally he would jump in and give them some tips.

I recall seeing something like that a little while ago. Don't think it was related to any of the big name show hosts(may have been Les), but there were 3-4 teams given various supplies and different locations in the same area and had to survive overnight, mightve been a couple of nights, I can't remember. But one of the teams had a couple of NHL players on it. It was pretty cool, but I don't remember what it was called or anything.
