Ok, I hear it all the damn time on the radio and at work, and I dont know who the hell sings it and for some reason it is really bugging me.

It goes like this:

"Its almost over now"..."and when the...blah blah blah"

"Because I'm broken..., and im strong enough"

It starts with a guy singing, and then a girl starts singing, and then they both sing. I know this is a TINY bit of info but I am hoping someone on here will be able to understand my idiocy.

Scan down the page.

I wanted you to know
that i love the way you laugh
i wanna hold you high and
steal your pain away
I keep your photograph
And I know it
serves me well
i wanna hold you high
and steal your pain

Because im broken
when i am lonesome
and i dont feel right
when you go away

You've gone away
u dont feel me ...anymore

The worst is over now
and we can breathe again
I wanna hold you high
you steal my pain
away
Theres so much left to learn
and no one left to fight
i wanna hold you high
and steal your pain

Because im broken
when i am open
and i dont feel like
i am strong enough

Because i am broken
when i am lonesome
and i dont feel right
when you go away

Because im broken
when i am open
and i dont feel right
now i am strong enough

Because i am broken
when i am lonesome
and i dont feel right
when you go away

Because i am broken
when i am lonesome
and i dont feel right
when you go away

You've gone away
u dont feel me...anymore

I've heard it a few times now too, and it's not a bad song.

If you like Evanesence, I'd highly recommend checking out a band called Nightwish. You'll have a very hard time finding anything from them in the US, but it's worth the search. They've been around for a couple of years now, but I have yet to ever hear one of thier songs, or see one of thier cds in a mainstream store. With a little looking online, they aren't hard to find.

Where have I heard that song "Over The Hills And far Away" before? I heard it on Nightwish's website but I swear that it may be a cover tune.

In March 2001 Nightwish entered the studio again to record their version of Gary Moore`s classic "Over The Hills And Far
Away", with 2 new songs and a remake of Angels Fall First's "Astral Romance". The Finnish release for this EP was in June 2001. The german (Drakkar) version of "Over The Hills And Far Away" includes 6 live tracks in addition to the 4 unreleased songs.

I knew that some sounded familiar!!! I haven't listened to Gary Moore since I first heard "Victims Of The Future" back in '87.

Good call on Broken, KV. Is that the blues guitarist Gary Moore as in "Still Got the Blues for You"?

And if you like Evanescence pick up a copy of their Origin CD. Out-phucking-standing......

I am a borderline true fanatic for Evanescence, I've got Fallen, Origins and a never released studio demo they did along time ago. I had tickets to their concert awhile back in Carbondale, and 2 weeks before the concert was when Ben Moody left the group and they had to cancel the show...I'm still P.O.d at him!..Seether was supposed to be their opening act, that's how I got into them. Broken was great, but when they re-released it with Amy Lee it became even better.

If you like Seether, get their new album "Karma and Effect", it's as good as "Disclaimer".

Nightwish is in limbo after they fired Tarja Turunen, the vocalist.

Amy Lee has a lot of studio work done to her voice, as she's consistently off-key in a live setting. Overall, that band was one of the more over-hyped in recent memory. I'm curious to see how their second CD is received...

Same Gary Moore, former member of Thin Lizzy (Black Rose) and major studio player in the UK. G-Force and Corridors of Power are great '80's hard rock albums.

Patryn-thank you for mentioning NIGHTWISH:thumbup: i just ordered the Greatest hits after hearing them...damn cant believe id never heard of them- our radio stations play the same crap to death
