nano early lock up?

I recived my nano last night and the lockup is very early.It is so early that the lock failed twice under presure from my thumb on the gimped portion of the blade. will this wear in ? Has anyone else had this problem ?
 
it should wear in, just do a lot of flipping and closing. just be careful not to use it hard till the lock has seated in nice and tight.

i would be surprised if it didn't wear in over time.....i've never had one that didn't, that was used. i have seen ones not used at all other than standard careful opening and closing that didn't wear in much. when you put it to cutting work though it will wear in, just be careful until you feel it's safe.

i'm kinda weird as i like early lockup. ive had to retrain how i think when i get a liner or frame lock knife with late lockup. i used to cringe and worry about using it so it wouldn't seat further. i finally got over it and just use them.

moosehead905 and jbmonkey, thanks for the reply. you guys are right it did wear in just fine. It now locks up perfectly with no play.I must say that this is a great little knife.
