Oh this is a good one people. I have a proto of a new steel that we have been looking at by Sandivik (Nanoflex) http://www.smt.sandvik.com/nanoflex that is being given away to the lucky winner of this contest.

Rules:
*You have to have already posted at least 15 times in the Kershaw Sub-Forum (prior to me posting this contest)
*No Internationals
*1 guess, and one guess only
*Don't screw up, and don't pick the same total as the poster in front of you.
*You have to have your guess in prior to the kickoff of the first game.
*Anyone breaking one or more of the rules gets a dose of "family" hazing.

Contest:
College Football tonight!

What I'm looking for is the combined total score for the BYU vs TCU game. Example: BYU 3, TCU 37 = 40,

Closest total without going over wins.

Follow your guess with a steel we haven't yet used that you would like to see on a knife. If you forget this part, you are bounced from the giveaway

How about 45?

I don't think you've used N690, have you? That might be interesting.

I'll go 38

Kershaw just keeps on moving foreward. Says something about the people running things if you ask me.

Thanks for the chance Thomas. Joe

Edit: This is some really different stuff. Looking at the materials data sheets I realized just how different. I'd guess we're talking nitrides rather than carbides, but it doesn't just stop there ( if I'm even barking up the right chicken ) Clever guys, these Sandavik engineers and chemists. Kershaw tech guys, have fun!

44 points total. And I'll go for 12C27 for a hard use blade, just to keep the Sandvik goodness going. :)

I'll go 23 since it is my lucky number and for a steel how about CPM154 (I am loving the CPM-D2 so almost anything CPM is interesting).

Funny thing, back in college I had a buddy that would not stop talking about nanotechnology, so much so that I called him "Nano Dano". He would talk about how it is going to revolutionize the world as we know, how it is the "wave of the future", and so on. He wanted me to invest with him in nanotechnology but I always declined and joked that it would have cut into my knives and whiskey money; which of course comes first :D.

I always thought he was a little crazy about it, especially since we were History and Political Science majors , but maybe he was right.

Think it will be 41 points total, and I'd like to see something in CPM M4 - it's supposed to be awesome stuff!!

And since I went to BYU, so I'll be rooting for the Cougars!!
