If you search W&SS for "nanook" you will find many threads. We had a recent discussion which led me to get the DVD.

Before Dick Proenekke, there was Nanook of the North

This was a popular film when I was in grade school. When outdoor playground recess wasn't possible in the winter or during bad weather, we'd see a movie instead. I recall an inside-the-igloo scene where Mrs. Nanook is topless. That used to draw lots of cheering from the grade-school audiences. Woo Hoo!!!

Ah... the mammaries --I mean memories!

Ah, the National Geographic experience!

We didn't see Nanook but in the summer, the school gym opened up for Tarzan movies.
