I remember hearing something about a NASA version of the bushcraft, Flat ground and High Tech Steel... is this dead or did it just turn into the Southfork? :D

I remember hearing about a bushcraft in s90v from one of the shot show videos.

I haven't heard much about the NASA Bushcraft, but the Spyderco rendition of Phil Wilson's South Fork will satisfy most of the people that wanted that anyway.

Not exactly, the knives are way different, and have completely different uses.

At SHOT 2011, Sal said they have a bushcraft planned with carbon fiber and S90V flat ground blade. It's on youtube.

:D

hopefully they won't make it scandi ground. in the field or at home i think i won't even try to sharpen a S90V scandi knife

well, i think they are using the bushcraft platform. It obviously won't be a" Bushcraft Blade."

S90V isn't a good choice for a woodsman knife. :(
I hope they keep it for the South Fork: different design and uses.

I surely do hope for a Carbon Fiber and 3V nasa bushcraft

There's already the reg bushcraft for outdoor, this one is clearly not meant for that

This handle screams for use as a bushcraft outdoor knife, not for kitchen work.

But in this price range (especially in Europe)I don't feel enough love to buy O1 steel of the reg version.

The toughness, edge holding and relative good stain resistance of CPM 3V however...
(I know, I'm a steelsnob)
