When does this knife go into production, and when is it going to be offered to the public? I read a little about it a while back and havent heard any thing more. Was just wondering.

I think the website says it will NOT be released to the general public.

Sarcastic? Who, me?

I think the NASA knife itself was going to be released to the general public, but it wouldn't have the NASA logo on the blade. That was to be reserved for NASA itself.

Of course, that may have changed.

Hey thanks for the info, it would be cool to get one with the NASA logo but $$$$$$ I would imagine. But someone will probably end up with one who is a member here sooner or later I would imagine. Thanks again.

Did anybody realize that those guys are speaking in Russian. That should say RKA knife not NASA. Were they issued because they went up with us?

Hey Reed,
The guy cutting the sausage is a Russian, but the other fella, (blond, blue shirt) is an American.
They are aboard the International (yeah, right) Space Station, so use of US equipment is to be expected, as most of the other "participating nations" (Especially Russia!) have pissed backwards on their financial obligations.

*Do NOT get me started on this subject!*
Your tax dollars at work, putting Russians in Space.

MOLON LABE!

Russians in space doesn't bother me, but until they issue Emersons to US citizens, I don't want them giving them to Russians. Oh well.

insert more mumbo-jumbo than ya kin shake a stick at here. or not.

Did you consider that one of the friendly American Astronauts loaned his Russian buddy the Emerson to cut up his lunch with.

That sounds suspiciously like Russian for "Damn, wish our knives were this nice! After Mr. Emerson takes care of the American Public, perhaps we'll get some for ourselves!"
