Recieved my fighter from him recently and am extremely proud to own this and will carry it knowing it is not just beautiful art. I can honestly say I am happy to have spent every penny and will probably again for gifts to a few fellow warrior's who could use the additional protection when downrange. Thank you sir!

This is along side my previous favorite large knife the Condor Hudson Bay -

Cold rainy and buried in Mesquite, a fighter with the soul of a sword.

Next to my trusty companion, glock19 this gun has seen more than most soldiers have and it has been my companion through it all. This knife will now be a companion as well. Thank you again sir!

Its so beautiful I had to add some more poses with other rugged awesome gear...

And with my cz52 cause yeah, its ruggedly sexy

Again thanks man!

I like the blade but I don't know if I'm sold on the handle shape. Id like something maybe more like the handle on the Al Mar SERE knives. Yep that's what it is, the rounded but on it is what's throwing me off. But that blade sure looks pretty sweet :)

What is the handle made of? The pattern looks like plastic off a bayonet, which would be pretty cool if it was.

Pretty nice sticker I like his style also. Is that a 7" blade as I'm wondering about going longer or shorter would be better. Thanks for posting pics and thoughts on his blades.

8" and it is perfect. I have a few shorter fighters and tend to not get large knives as a rule. jowever, this is really a good size. Would work against bear, hogs and more. :) very very well balanced and beautiful

I have thrown this knife using the no flip throw I prefer, it functioned amazingly as a thrown knife. I really recommend this knife - share the video and lets help Nathan the Machinist become a BladeForums household name!

It will take a few more minutes to get up- and apologies there is no music- anyone who wants too can add that or I will send a video file and you can adjust as needed.

He already IS a BF household name!!!!! Nathan knows his stuff, for sure. Never met the guy but he sure seems like a gentleman.

That is not only a really neat design, but the WIP thread that he did when he made the original ones was just too freaking cool. It is amazing to see the different ways that a knife can be made. For those who haven't checked out the thread and the indebted videos, it is over in the Shop Talk section.

Thanks for the info this blade design is different from most around here and looks like a real pig sticker for sure. Thanks for the vids also op and your time making and posting them, sweet blades to say the least.

I didn't make the knife or video. . I'm just the messenger. :D

You have a great point, before purchasing I took the time to read his build thread. Having watched my dad hand forge the first bowie/fighting knife I have (and still have) I was absolutely amazed. Honestly, it is what put me over the top!

(btw here is my dads creation)

He used spring steel - black walnut - and brass- completely old school this knife was built in 1986 - I cracked the handle in 1994 throwing it - Dad and I used to throw to each other to practice. (Yeah, its the Scot/Norse in us) used long set epoxy mix to fill and coat and it remains one of my prize possessions worth more than any other firearm or knife I have. :)

I got one of the first fighters Nathan sold here. I ended up owning 3 at one point and still own two.

Nathan is the real deal, no doubt about it. He has the skills of a true knife maker with the added benefit of being a master machinist. I wish he would put out a few more models.

I had one for a time, nice knife but its very narrow purpose I found. I also found the handle material to be quite slick and not very grippy. I think he should look at offering a scale material with more traction, like that horse mat rubber that some guys use, or a rougher canvas micarta. I am hoping he produces a smaller blade in the future. 4 - 6 inches would be great.
