Nathan, clear out your message box.
I found a perfect phrase for you .A tv reporterette this morning used the phrase " using precise precision " . A perfect one for you !

I just cleared out a bunch of stuff in there. I just sold 40 boxes of micarta and my PM box is jammed up.

Precise precision. heh heh - wow...

Perhaps she meant "accurate precision", no that really isn't much better.

I was reading an article in "Blade" about production operations at Case knives. The author's descriptions and choice of words when discussing CAD, design and engineering kind of made me chuckle a little bit too.

In chemistry today, we learned that you can have precision without accuracy:rolleyes:, by using a wrong formula, having a bad measuring device, etc. and having a consistent answer.

Accurate precision is when you get the right answer consistently.

Well, technically, consistently is repeatability.

I have a set a calipers that, when they get wet can jump .200. So I can measure something with a precision of .001, but the accuracy is off .200"...

So I take it you're another fan of verbal bafflery...

Here's one that was on the local news a couple years ago. I forget the topic and this quote doesn't help to remind me.

"I think we're at a really important time where we're headed in a certain direction which could lead to certain outcomes that a lot of people would not like to see happen either in their lifetime or their childrens lifetime and so I think what happens now is really critical to far reaching directions that our country goes."

Okay, I'm ready to panic...what am I panicking for again?

It took me 8 times of reviewing on my DVR to get this down verbatum. :D

Sounds like she was trying to give somebody a really vague hint that they should pass her the salt or she was going to get medieval on their asses.
