National Buffalo Chicken Wing Festival - Buffalo - NY - Labor Day Weekend.

My family and I will be there. We are all excited. Myself...my wife...my 3 teenage sons and my 2 year old daughter all like wings. The little girl stays away from the hot stuff right not though. Has anyone been to this event? If so....any advice? We'll probably be getting out for dinner in Buffalo as well so any local restaurant (no chain places please) suggestions would be appreciated. We're staying at the Hilton in downtown Buffalo.

I just had the best cheeseburger ever at Vizzi's on Kenmore Ave, served with a mountain of fresh cut/skin on fries....$7.95...cash only, no credit cards accepted...its a very casual hole in the wall bar/grill type place......they also serve the classic Buffalo "beef on weck"......a table near us had it and it looked pretty good

It might be a little redundant since you are going to the wing festival, but if you're in Buffalo, you might as well go to the "original". Anchor Bar....Home of the Original Buffalo Chicken Wings. Was there this time last year but didn't make it to the Wing Festival.
