This is a little bit late but. I was able to go to Washington DC this month for part of National Law Enforcement Week, which runs from the 10-15 of May. It honors all law enforcement officers who have fallen on the line of duty. I was able to see the memorial wall with all 17,500 names on it, staring at about 1790. I also got to meet alot of brother and sister officers from all over the country. It really makes you realize what wearing the badge means. It also makes you thankful that there are men and women who wear the badge and are willing to make the supreme sacrifice and give their lives to protect the public.

Nothing wrong with being proud of hardworking service people. People who risk their lives for us.
