June 6 is National Trails Day!

I'm Canadian, so it doesn't mean anything to me in an official sense, since it's a US thing.
However, as a trail builder, I feel like this national recognition of a resource that all of us outdoorsman utilize is important to take note of, and act on.

So, that being said, I wish you all a happy trails day and hope you have primo conditions for your connection into nature:thumbup:

Happy Trails Day!

Here in New Mexico it is also "Free Fishing Day," when anyone can fish in public waters with no license. To coincide with the date, our local state park hosted a free fishing tournament for kids with prizes for catches and a raffle. So I was out on the lake today instead of hitting the trails.

Happy Trails to You.... (That was a song which I suspect most young members would never have heard of.)

If I have time, I try to improve a little any trail that I hike without being excessive, especially in parks.
