Native 3 Questions

I just got a Native 3 and love it. I find the handle, with its deeper finger indent, works much better for me than the Native 4.

A couple of questions:

--did they ever make this model with special handles, such as the carbon fiber version of the Native 4?

--how worried should I be about getting a backup one soon? Will they, e.g., be impossible to find in three months?

--anyone know of any super closeout sale on this version?

No, the only C78 with a "special" handle was the blue FRN 2003 Spyderco Forum model, shown below, and the leftovers from that run sold without the Forum Knife markings.

--how worried should I be about getting a backup one soon? Will they, e.g., be impossible to find in three months?

The PE version seems to be drying up already. None of the super-discounters appear to have any left and regular shops don't have a lot on hand. How many may have been bought recently by speculators to sell on eBay is the only wild card here. So I'd say, get one now if you want it, especially if you want plain edge.

One center of knife sales still shows the combo edge in stock at $32, other than that, don't know of any.
