Hello, I just bought a G10 Native 5 from an ebay seller and there was no white edge-u-cation sheet included, there was a small color pamphlet instead. I'm wondering if this is legitimate or if the seller was just covering up the missing paperwork. The date on the box is listed as CM, March 2013, maybe this is a recent change? I emailed Spyderco but I'm hoping for a quicker repsonse.

Also is it unusual to get a knife so recently made?

Thanks for any help, I hope to start posting here more frequently.

My Yojimbo 2 and my Street Bowie, both, had the colored pamphlet thing. Both came from Knifeworks, which is about as reputable as one can get as far as dealers are concerned.

Nothing to be alarmed about, it's part of the newer pieces coming out of Golden from what I've seen. It would be nice if the EdgeUCtion sheets were available on their site though.

Indeed that would be nice. I always like reading those sheets. It's like a little history of the knife which is always good to know. Perhaps a book of EdgeUCation

My two C80CFP Dodo CF's, a JL (10/12?) and a KL (11/12?), both have Dodo CF specific Edge-U-Cation sheets, a nice touch I thought only supplied with their sprint runs. I looked back at my other recent Spydie, a C41GP5 Native 5 dated IK (9/12??) - odd, since my sales receipt states 8/12! Informative Native 5 specific Edge-U-Cation sheet included, too.

My Ti Native 5 came with the color pamphlet. I honestly prefer it to the edge-u-cation sheets. It's informative, gives a nice background of the model you purchased and looks much nicer too.
