Native 5 FRN Lightweight Pocket Clip Questions

Apologies if this has been covered, but I searched and didn't find anything that answered my questions.

Is the Native 5 Lightweight pocket clip unique to that model? Will a clip from another model, or brand even, fit the hole lineup on the Lightweight?

I'm wanting a deep carry clip for my Lightweight and cannot seem to find one.

Failing that, any recommends for an aftermarket maker who does them in Ti for the Lightweight?

And finally, would somebody have an extra factory black Lightweight pocket clip they'd be willing to sell me?

Thanks guys!

My Spyderco collection is extensive, but there are probably more models I don't own than ones I do, so I can't say with certainty that the N5LW's clip hole pattern is unique to it. However, I can say it's different from that of the "common" hourglass clip, as well as that of the Military clip and the Tenacious clip.

Yeah Deacon, it's kinda weird. I've a few other Spydie models and one of the nice features is the commonality in clips, so you can swap around or whatever. It seems often times, least to me, that with some knives, not just Spydies, it's like the pocket clip style and location was an afterthought. And not configured by someone who actually carries one. Irritating sometimes. ;)

I believe the Native 5 LW has the same spacing as the Tenacious/Persistence.

I've put deep carry clips on most of my Spydercos (from Casey, The Original Spaceman). I've resigned myself to accepting the factory clip on the N5 lightweight. I like everything else so much about the knife that the lack of an available deep carry clip doesn't bother me. If I need deep carry I just use the Delica, Endura, PM2 etc. The special anniversary edition fluted carbon fiber/S90V N5 lightweight appears to have the standard Spyderco hourglass clip so it would fit an aftermarket clip. It looked like Spyderco was going to release a version of the fluted CF Native with S90V steel and I was hoping to get one of those partly because it would be great with a shorty deep carry clip, but that model seems to have been put aside for now.

i the native 5/LW carry's the same pocket clips as the value pay line of folders! thik i saw some dc-clips for this LW-native 5 on e-bay about year ago!but outside of that, theres not a hole lot of offerings.:grumpy:

My Tenacious is a very early one and the only Value Line folder I own but, unless they've changed the clip and hole spacing in the last 8 years, the hole layout is different from that of the Native 5 LW. Tenacious clip holes form an equilateral triangle. those on the Native 5 LW do not. N5LW hole layout is closer to a right triangle where sides A and B are the same length and distance between the two holes above the bend is the hypotenuse.

The tenacious style deep carry clips will work on the LW Native, you just use the two bottom screws and ignore the top screw hole.

Awesome. Found an eBay vendor that has Ti versions in matte black at a not too bad of price.

Appreciate all the help guys!

I got a deep carry clip for the N5FRN from a guy on amazon. Blade for sell is the vendor name. Takes a few weeks to deliver. Real good quality. Would order from him again.

Does the clip rest on the non-jimped section of handle scale?
