Native 5 Lightweight question?

Just received one of these second hand. Took it apart for a good cleaning and noticed it had no washers around the pivot. Wondering if this is normal on this model? Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks

its normal,all the native FRN and even going back to series 1 2 3 4 have no washers,only on G10/titanium modals.

That's bizarre. Is it smooth? Does it work well?

Just curious, since I've been thinking about getting a Native

My Forum native has no washers either, personally I feel that and or the lack of liners makes it a little less smooth, but I'm probably wrong.

I have a Native LW and two Forum 2015 Natives and they are smooth.

The Native V Lightweight does not have separate pivot washers. What it has, like most, if not all, of Spyderco's unlined FRN models, are integral raised bearing surfaces molded into the inside of the handle. Nylon is often used as washer/bearing material in applications which involve considerably more motion of the moving parts than pocket knife blades.
