Native 5, Love it

I just picked up a new Native 5 from the exchange. WOW, what a knife. It reminds me of a little mini Manix:thumbup::thumbup: I've been carrying a CF Caly 3 for a few months, so this is getting pocket time now.

I agree. The Native 5 is a great EDC blade. I stuck a black pocket clip on mine and now it's perfect.

That's a great nick name - mini Manix I like mine a lot too. It's on the bottom end of my size preference but not under it yet. Great knife! And mine came built relatively flawlessly from Golden too - Nice job Spyderco.

Well a few years ago, there was a Manix and Mini Manix. The mini looks remarkably like the Native 5. The Native is easier on the pocket though.

The Native V is an excellent knife. Was impressed by mine as soon as I got it in my hand. Like it even better since gull wing customized it for me with Mexican Ebony scales and it's been in my pocket since I got it back. Thanks again Rich.

I really want one of these. The only thing holding me back from buying one is that I'm waiting on the fluted Ti version.

Wow, Deacon, those scales are beautiful. The wood scales combined with the FFG blade really make your Native 5 look classy and more like a traditional pocketknife in a way the original Native FFG never could.
