I was wanting to change things up on my Rex-45 LW Native but haven’t been able to find any replacement scales for them. Does anyone know of anyone making them for the LW or are they only available for the G10 models?

The handle on that knife is a complex shape that precisely holds the lock and pivot. There are no scales to change. I have the same knife. I like the FRN handle, but wasn't a fan of the color. I disassembled everything and dyed the handle "Corvette Red." Now it looks NICE.

With Rit dye? How well does that hold up over time being pocket carried/ used?

At the time I did the Native 5, I also did a Manix 2. The Native 5 looks like the day I dyed it. But that knife doesn't get carried much. The Manix 2 was carried almost daily for a few years. It's lightened a bit. It's interesting that the edges and high points are now light red, and the low spots are still dark red. I could re-dye it, but I think it looks really cool this way. The dye isn't expensive, but I'm a cheapskate, so I save the mixture in a jar for reuse.
