The G10 S110V Native 5 is in stock at last in the spyderco.com webshop. Would this mean the fluted CF version will drop soon too? Trying to prepare my finances in anticipation. I don't want to miss this one.

Uh i believe that model is way discontinued. Are they going to re-release this or are you just looking at archived models?

No, the fluted CF Native 5 is not discontinued. It is in the 2021 product guide:

I mustve missed that... the original fluted CF/s90v was released in 2017 and i have never seen it available for retail. According to spydie wiki this model was originally cancelled and then uncancelled. Buddy got a factory 2nd for like $90 2 years ago lol kinda just assumed discontinued.

Yeah, I think this started out as the 40th Anniversary edition in Thor damascus and it was so popular they made it regular production with S90V.

Looks loke youre sort of correct-

Per spydiewiki, "This model was originally cancelled and the fluted CF handles were instead rolled into the 40th Anniversary release. Then Spyderco decided to "uncancel" it as part of their "Signature Series"."

So it seems like this model was in the works prior to the 40th anniv edition (2016) and was uncancelled in 2017. According to spydiewiki its also mesnt to be a regular production since 2017. Maybe i am totally just missing these but i cant remember ever see these being sold at any retailed over the last few years

I think it is only because it looks very much like the regular, boring black G10 version on the thumbnails of all the web-shop pages. Too easy to gloss over. Because I actively look and search for it, I know it is listed in many places.
Some regular production models are really best viewed as cyclical/annual sprint runs. They go quickly and the numbers are low..

Definitely a normal production knife, I bought mine off Amazon a few years ago when Spyderco was still authorized there! Beautiful piece in every way...you won't be disappointed kobold!

Thanks!
