Native 5 the New Mini Manix C101GP Original?

Has anyone compare them both? Native 5 seem to bring a lot of good stuff together again.

Original Mini Manix feature 3.13" blade and Native is 3". Both are G-10, lock back. S35VN is a minor plus from S30V. Blade shape is some what similar.
The handle is the major difference. Native 5 is over all tag smaller slightly easier for the pocket but prob won't notice much. There are other small design difference here and there,
As a die hard original Manix (and mini Manix) fan can't help to think Native 5 might be slightly nicer to hold in hand judging from images. Although original Manix was easier to the wallet but there is inflation taking account.

Any one who were luck owing the original Manix and currently own a Native 5 to share some insight?

Thanks.

Didn't the original Mini-Manix have a thumb-ramp? My CF Native 4 should arrive here Monday, and I'm fighting hard not to pick up a Native 5 just because.

I think I really would have liked the original Mini-Manix (anyone have any comparison pics?).

Native V is an excellent knife but, if anything, the Sage IV is closer in outline to the original C101 83mm Manix. However even the Sage IV's handle is a different shape and its blade 1mm thinner. Both it and the Native V are better slicers, but for pure brute strength, the original 83mm Manix trumps them.

Do not fight, you will loose. Just relax and enjoy:)(FFG Natives)

My biggest problem right now is that stupid Native 5 with custom carbon fiber scales sitting in the exchange - it's taunting me... Had I not literally just (a day prior to it's showing up) bought the Native 4 CF, I would have already pulled the trigger.

I may not be able to hold out much longer...

Looking to get a Native 5. From pix it does remind me of my favorite Spyderco ever the Mini Manix.

I just acquired a Native 5 recently and have been carrying it. Haven't done any heavy cutting with it yet but touched it up on the Sharpmaker to make it shaving sharp. After looking it over for a while, I noticed it has a lot of similarity to the original C95 Manix and C101 Mini Manix. I took a picture of all three (Native 5, Mini Manix, Manix) and the Native strongly resembles the original Manix family. They should call this knife the Baby Manix!

Thanks for the image post. That is just what I needed to see. I didn't expect that much handle length difference visually and how much blade is thinner in comparison to mini Manix. It sure can be called Baby Manix LOL!
