I really like the native 5. Its a tough knife and a beauty to boot. While I love mine as is I think it would be slick if spyderco offered a larger version. Native 5 XL. Maybe 3 1/2" blade. I even think the profile of the native 5 would look awesome in a slightly larger version.
Would be a big fan.
just one of my wants. Maybe "Sal"ta Claus will one day have it inHis bag of goodies.:)

Needs the Power Lock.

How do you think it will last long time? I think I saw you said you liked it. Just seems like a lot of moving parts to me...

Still going strong!

Native 5 XL?

Check out the Manix 2 and Manix 2 XL - essentially larger versions of the Native 5 LW.

Other than blade shape I don't think the manix 2 and native 5 are essentially the same knife at all.

Who said they are the same knives? I'm looking @ a Native 5 and Manix XL right now and they seem close enough that a bigger 3.5 inch bladed Native 5 would be pointless?

I suppose if you changed the ball bearing lock to a back lock had a full back spacer and lost most of the jimping they would be close.

I think this could be said about a lot of knives.

Not at all.
I like and have a lot of respect for Manix XL. I do not need heavy duty knife, But just in case if I will ever need I have Manix XL CF/S90V.
I love my Natives5 (I own six of them) and carry one of them daily. It is almost perfect for me. Still for me, if Spyderco will make 3.5" blade Native5 lock-back or ball lock it would be one step closer to perfection. I like para2, but something attracting me to FFG Natives more
