Both are great knives with good ergos and steel. The Chap is quite a bit smaller but is very well made and packs a lot of punch for a small knife, actual cutting edge isn't that much smaller.

Is there something you already have you want a pic next to?

Chaparral would be my choice, unless you need a stronger more stout blade.

The Native5 in G10 with S35 is
at the minimum for hand space
for me.

Mine gets more edc time because its just right.

Tough choice here and, unless you have really large hands, I don't think you can go wrong with either. Lately I've been carrying a Native 5 LW more but the G10 will get more carry time during the winter. I use the Chap as more of a gentleman's knife. Both are great but different roles for me.

Light use EDC, dressy, inconspicuous: Chaparral
Everything else: Native

That pretty much sums it up for me.

I don't need a lot of knife for the occasional shipping box. I prefer the deep carry wire clip and you get plenty of blade in a small package. I got my Chaparral before my G-10 Native and carry it the most. Sadly I have never carried the Native.

any of the natives are a grate EDC!there G10/S35VN is a stout little worker for me.

Pictures are great. Thank you so much. I have larger knives like the military and endura, im looking to get a little guy to go along with them. Something to pair with them or my Emerson's. I have a lot to think about.

Thanks everyone

Native's a really nice knife, but it's kind of thick/chunky/heavy for the blade size. Great for actually using the knife though. Oh and the lock on the Native, at least the G10 versions, very very sweet! So smooth.

Chap's very thin and quite a lot smaller than the Native, while not giving up too much cutting edge. And it has that sweet super thin blade.

I say get both, but if you have to pick one, I'd say get the Native if you're beating on it, or flicking it open all day. Otherwise, Chap.

I was in this same boat.

Bought a g10 native last night for a using work knife

Gonna buy a chaparral in 2 weeks for a dress knife.

The lightweight Natives are anything but thick and chunky. Very light and easy to carry. The chap is a fantastic knife but as others have said earlier it's a gentleman's blade and no more. The native in its lightweight form is quite the puncher for its weight. Would match well with the Endura you mentioned.

I've got the lightweight Native and it's great. The S35VN really takes a fine edge. Plus when I look at the blade I get to see U.S.A. Earth, instead of...well...you know.
