Sergei from Kiev ask me to translate and forward this question from knife.ru to Bladeforums (for some reason he is not able to access (register) bladeforums)
-----------------------------------------
---------------------------------------------
Please, ask Sal Glesser on BladeForums to confirm or deny information that Ed Bradishevsky from Israel participates in design of Native. He also known as designer of Spydercard and Shabria.

Thanks in advice,
With respect Sergei

Thanks, Vassili.

I never get tired of Vassili's avatar.
He probably gets tired of me mentioning it.
Has everyone noticed that the sleeping fox opens one of its eyes, every now and then?
When Vassili dies, can I have his avatar? :) (A joke amongst helicopter pilots, please accept it that way)

no word about that in the Spyderco story and I agree, that avatar is great. when Ken dies it's my turn ;)

Sal is certainly the final authority on this question. However, "The Spyderco Story" says that the Native was "...completely designed by Spyderco" Since Sal is scrupulous about giving credit where credit is due, I can't imagine that he would not mention Eduard Bradichansky's participation if there was any.

Not to hijack the thread but, I thought the avatar was a cat. Can someone confirm if it is a fox?

And I love the avatar as well.

I tend to agree with that, Sal definitely knows when credit is due...
the native is sold as 100% Spyderco and US.

Sorry Dennis can't help you there, keep avatars turned off to avoid being offended by those used by one of your fellow mods.

Have just read all that I could find about the Native in The Spyderco Story and, like the others who did so, found nothing to indicate anyone but Sal contributed to its design. Concur that it would be very surprising for him not to give credit to someone if it were due.

Thanks for answers. Help me please find any information about Eduard Bradichansky, foto and profile.
Best regards.

Hi Vassili.

Eduard Bradichansky was a brilliant designer and knifemaker. His designs were quite varied and we had many plans for his designs. His death was most unfortunate.

He designed the "Shabaria" and the "Credit card knife" that we produced. We were working on a necklace knife of Eduard's design, and still are, but production is difficult.

Eduard was not involved in the design of the Native.
