That is a really cool knife  Love everythign about it.

I've got some friends out in the barn who probably wouldn't appreciate the handle material though ;)

Santi, thanks for showing us this great looking knife and the khukri in the other thread. I like both very much.

Santi, Thats the best use for a horse leg bone I've seen yet. Might as well make use of those old bones and a knife is a good way to use them. I like the forge finish on the blade also. What was the steel before it became a knife blade? I spent a year over in Vietnam in 1969 & 70 and I remember seeing a few knives used by the natives there but for the life of me I can't remember what they looked like. You wouldn't happen to have any pictures of them?

That is a most beautiful working knife.

I love it.

From the butt cap to the Mahogony(?) sheath.

The forge finish is perfect for that big blade.

An all around great package.

First off, it's very unique, and that's uncommon.

It looks great and seems like it would be a fantastic tool as well.

In a way it is, but in fact it's a very common knife for rural people here in Thailand, a simpler version though.
It's called E-Nep. And few people in the BFC already heard and/or had it. :)

By the way.
It's of ATS-34 (that's what the maker told me.) with 440-C guard and butt.
The sheath is of rose wood.
:D
