Trying to decide on Delica vs. Native for purchase. Any opinions on comfort, ease of opening, pocket 'profile' etc. I know Delica is a black clip- what about Native ? This is important as stainless is too obvious for my taste. Thanks !

It's stainless but you can get a black one from Spyderco which will easily take its place.

As for the comparison itself, I've only got the Native and must say that it's a great knife as far as ergonomics go. Deep index finger choil, comfortable thick grip and a nice pattern on the handle. I find the "volcano grip" on the Endura/Delica to be too aggressive. Some people say that the Native's hole is hard to get at and open but I've never had this problem. It's probably cause it's my daily carry and I'm so used to it. As for pocket profile, it sits in my jeans very comfortable and easy to get to. I also think the Native is the most beautiful Spyderco out there but that's just a personal preference. Hope this helps.

i'll also put in my vote for the native. i love the handle. if i choke up on it, using the choil, i can get a full grip on it, whereas that was never possible on my buddy's delica. if you can wait a month or so, the native will come with 440V steel too. i'm about to get a black clip for my native too, blends in better with jeans and dress pants.

I will also throw in a vote for the Native with the same side-comment, wait for the new one.

Where does one get a black clip for the knife? That would realy make the nife less noticeable since I try to carry it everywhere, regardless of wether I am in jeans or in slacks.

clips are available from the spyderco factory outlet and i saw them in a catalog for knives plus mail order.
