Native discounts ?

With the release of the CPM440-V Native, is/will anyone be doing discounts on the old GIN-1 versions ? I just handled one this weekend, and regret buying the Delica recently. Not regret really, just would've rather put my limited sharp pointy funds towards the Native over Delica.
 
The Demand for the Native has been greater than the supply for some time. There probably aren't too many of the Gin-1 Natives sitting on shelves. Perhaps someone trading up to the new model?

Seriously - SAL - the Native is the best of the Spyderco line IMHO... Its ergonomics are wonderful and it is just plan "Right".

Any more thoughts on a slightly larger Native? P-P-P-P-Please?

What a great idea!!! Why didn't I think of that? A larger Native! The Native really does have a mass appeal. I for one would love to see a larger model! Brilliant!!!

If you really want a Gin-1 Native, I know a little shop in town here that has a bunch of them still NIB. I don't know if I can get any kind of a discount on them or not as they know jack sh!t about the knives they carry, but I do know that they are available. I found it while looking for a 440V one in the area, and I think I could have talked them down a bit, but I don't know.
 
I've been pining for the Chief for two years now... Sal let me handle the proto at Blade years ago. To touch and never to hold again..?

Dudes ~ There is a larger native called the Native Pride. The proto is also well-travelled and was last seen at the NY custom knife show... Lets all hope that this AWESOME knife will make it to the production line one day...

Samo, it's the same knife. The Chief was the original name until the PC police kicked in... Just my little protest in maintaining the reference to the bigger Native as the Chief.

I didn't think much of a bigger Native early this year. Then I got the 440V Native....and so the forumites spake to the Great Glesser to please make the Native Pride.
 
From my point of view the Native is unique just because relates the right lenght and thickness on the blade, and a longer one wouldn't have the same ratio. Anyway I saw time ago a wallpaper of news, including the Chinook and others, with a large Native, and I didn't found it really attractive, I mean it looked out of balance...On the othe side I'm sure a mini Native, both stainless and G10, and maybe with lockback, would work wonders...think about it Sal.
