I know all everybody talks about on the Native models is the ergonomics-now I understand why! My Native III turned up today and all I can say is WOW! This feels such a sturdy grip it's unreal. I have no fear that it will close on my fingers due to the humungous choil and even though I have large hands, it seems to fit perfectly. A grey Calypso Jr. also arrived but I ain't had much chance to play with it yet as the girlf's been around ;)

I really like mine.

I went out today looking to buy a small fixed blade or stockman, so naturally I came home with a Native III ;) I had never even seen one up close until today but as soon as I got it in my sweaty little hands...well. I've only had it a couple of hours but wow! what a great handle. The blade is no slouch either. More raves to come. :D

I also really like the grip on my Native III 3D, but I always keep my index finger in the choil. Otherwise I find it too small for to comfortably fit all my fingers. Anyone else have this experience?

CDS1,

I have the same 'paws' problem. There are several knives that I carry from time to time, but my 'steady' edc is my BFC Blue Native 3D. Just fits so well and the blue color is a bit disarming when sheeple catch sight of me cutting the bands on a Xerox paper box. And, yes, I too choke up a bit on the blade.

I too just got a Native III, and I really like it. It is an excellent all around utility knife. The ergos are great even for my XL paws. This one is definatly a keeper.

It has been doing the business in work, parting all kinds of materials from rubber tubing to corrugated cardboard. Annoyingly though, it's encouraging me to spend yet more money on a Native I to compare it to...

I love my Native III & it is my constant companion. I use for everything from opening envelopes to cutting weeds & even used it to trim some of the window slats on the porch when I changed the screens.
