FRN Native or para 2? i know another "help me choose". but u guys have the best opinions. im looking at either a para 2 or frn native both black with serrrations. any opinion on which one is a must have !?!? handle both, love both can only afford one. more mods for a para 2 right? anyone with mods on their para 2 , can you post some pics?

thanks
BJ

have ss and frn natives. tip is fragile, broke mine off unexpectedly. had a 22 hell that did not eject. used edge and not tip, tip broke. i have done this many times with other knives with no ill effect. made me decide edc is sak or buck 110.

The Para 2 doesn't come in a version with serrations, does it? I thought it was plain edge only.

And Spydercos are made to cut. Don't pry and you will be fine. And if you don't like Spyderco then why come to their forum? Carry your Buck 110 and be happy with it while everyone else will do the same with their knife of choice.

Correct, as of right now (unsure if there are plans for it) the Para2 only comes in plain edge only.

And although you are right that spyderco's really shine at cutting, the tip on the para2 can definitely take a little bit of abuse (not saying to go and pry away but just saying that it can handle some prying).

The para2 is my favorite knife, can't say much else other than you wont regret it.

It would have been fairer to put the native 5 against the para 2. Was it because of the serrations that made you choose these?

F it, just get both. Because they are so different you can justify both, and the native is cheap so your accountant won't even notice.

Frn Native and Para 2 are different knives with different locks. I don't have the Para 2, but the Native feels great in the hand and has great steel for the price point.

as others have stated, both knives are completely different and the para2 doesn't come with serrations.

in my opinion, the para2 is a must have. of all the knives i own, the para2 design sees more pocket time then any of my other knives.

mods? what type of mods are you talking about?

Even though it's not my cup of tea, get the Para 2. It's a very ergonomic knife, with plenty of cutting edge and it sports very nice G10 scales. In the worst case scenario, you hate the knife and then just sell/trade it on the Exchange.
