I just got a new 440V Native and I am wondering why the dent in the lock-bar is off center? It makes it kind'a difficult to close because a good portion of the lock-bar must be pressed into the handle to disengage the lock. Was this done on purpose… maybe for extra safety because of the light spring, or did mine just slip through? Either way, it is a great knife. I also like the fact that the tip is "beefier" than my old Gin-1 Native.

Don't know the answer to your question. Just wanted to give you one more reference point. The dent on my FRN Native is slightly off center. Mine closes easily.

The dent cut-out on mine looks like it was done in a hurry - the dent is wider on one side.

Thanks for the input. Mine is also wider on one side. Either they are all like that or both of ours where made on a Friday.
