Native tearing wholes in shirts

Any one else have a FRN Native that eats holes in your shit were you clip it? I thought that I had moths eating holes in my shirts but it is only in one area and where my knife is. My wife figured it out and after literally dozens and dozens of shirts later I no longer carry the FRN Native.

It is the ridges around the clip/lanyard hole that does it. It is a shame because it was my favorite knife. I went to a Delica but I didn't really like that knife or the steel as much. I think it fell out of my pocket on a motorcycle ride, so now I been carrying the Native 5. The G-10 is starting to wear my pockets thin. I wish I could have a Native with the 3 screw clip and in FRN. Maybe I will start to carry my Stretch ZDP-189...

I think my frn native wears my pockets less than any other knife. Certainly less than any g10 knife. Less than the texturing on the frn endura.

I mean, I haven't really noticed any wear. Maybe more than my squeak.

What kind of shirt are you talking about? I've never noticed anything like that, even with the cheap low quality polos they tried to give us at work.

You could take off the clip, sand or dremel the offending portion of the handle that rubs your shirt/pants, then replace the clip.

Just a thought.

Jost about any cotton shirt, T-shirts, mostly Polo's for work cheap and inexpensive ones. Its the EDC that I have carried that does it. Just curious if others had the same issue.

I've never had this problem, but I usually have my shirt tucked in for work. Off of work, I normally wear a t-shirt but my pockets are usually below where the shirt hangs.

Is that what that is??

Most of the knives I carry are G-10 or Carbon fiber though.

Sparki!! Yes!! That is what I get, some are subtle like that and some of my old shirts look like they took a shotgun blast to the lower side.

Well now I know what it is... I also assumed it was moths or something. I wonder what part of the knife it actually is. Maybe more reason to use deep carry clips.

Haha, this is too funny!

Looks like hungry moths or other insects to me. I get small holes like that in shirts, but it isn't anywhere near the pocket.

Mine are all around my right pocket area. That's also where I hang my keys on a carabiner. So it's one of the two. :)

The above pic... The right side is the front, the two holes to the left is right around the right side of my back pocket where I carry my second knife.
