OK, I'm looking to get either a Native or ProGrip to add to my growing list EDC choices. I have held a Native but have not had a close encounter with a ProGrip. Therefore, I would appreciate hearing from folks who have a working knowledge of both. Any and all input would be appreciated. :)

They both feel great in the hand, but different. Pro-grip's grippy rubber inserts (there's one under the clip that "grabs" clothing) would be helpful when wearing swim trunks or other nylon (slippery) type clothing. I have the combo edge Pro-grip and it definitely has a "can do" appearance and feel. It's smooth and solid. Gotta handle one for yourself, but you really do need both you know. ;)

I, well, used to have a Native (lost it this weekend) and it's a great knife.
Your hand will lock in the choil, and the steel is great. Does aggressive cuts very well.
I have no experience with the ProGrip. Somehow it just doesn't appeal to me just as much as the Native.
But Tech a Billy's point about the rubber insert under clip is valid.... I was wearing nylon pants and I suppose the FRN wasn't grippy enough to keep the balde inside the pocket. However that won't deter me from getting another Native ;)

The Kraton been too grippy is the biggest downfall to the pro grip for me. The plastic clip is okay but I prefer the steel one on the Native.

Also, with the choil it makes choking up on the blade for finer cutting a lot easier.

I like the pro grip but the Native suits my needs more.

Which is the better EDC , Native or ProGrip?

I had a Wegner Jr CE(G-10, same design as C13 Pro-Ven), and traded it off due to lack of use. I just didn't have a lot of use for the drop point blade other than kitchen use(great for herbs)...

I've had my Native FRN CE since late August, and until mid sept, didn't really carry it. I had that period of "is this the right knife for me", and got over it after I started to use it.
The serrations aren't the right size for paper and trees, but they cut meat and bread very well.
The choil and curve(in handle) lock your hand in(even with my normal sized palm and long fingers), and are confortable in reverse grip as well.
I have only touched up the edge once, and that was because I had a slight wire on my edge. I removed that after a bit of work, and the 440V is still holding strong despite almost daily use in the kitchen.

I'm waiting to see what the new 3-d native will be like, might need a 2nd one of this model.

Carried the Native CE for years (just got replaced with a new purchase). It's plain edge is not long enough to be useful, if you're looking for a good combo blade. Progrip CE looks to have enought plain and serrated edge to be a good combo blade. I don't like the plastic clip on the FRN one. I have kraton inserts on my aluminum Civie, and they make drawing the knife a pain.

I'm looking to get an SS Progrip w/ an extra, SS only clip. As soon as I recover from my most recent purchase, that is.

What I do like about the native is it's retention. It locks tight into my hand, in both forward (sabre?) and reverse grips. The blade is nice and thick. And 440V cuts really well.
