Where can I find one? BestGlide has one kinda sorta on their old website only. The links on their website are wonky. You have to click around and order ala carte. Their all in one package link doesn't work. I don't know where else to order one and I'd rather not take a chance on Ebay or Amazon where I may end up with some Rothco made piece of junk. I would prefer a reputable site. Also, does anyone have the a full NATO setup and a full American canteen setup and can share some thoughts comparing the two? Thanks

I have both, there are things I like on each. I like having the extra plastic cup on the NATO canteen and really like the stainless Crusader cup, it has measurements embossed into the side. Don't care for the cooker or the really bad smell of the plastic canteen. On the American side I have replaced the US canteen with the Nalgene Oasis canteen, it fits the canteen cup and pouch. I picked up the grill top stove from the Canteen shop and like it alot, the US canteen cup is adaquate but not as high a quality as the Crusader. I got the stainless lid for the US cup from the Canteen Shop, but haven't decided if I like it or not. I like the idea of a lid but it is a tad heavy and dosn't fit in my pouch. Overall if I had to choose I would stick with the US setup. In addition to the Military canteens I have the Nalgene stainless waterbottle with two spacesaver stainless cups (all nests together) and the Maxpedition water bottle carrier. I like it, but tend to use my US canteen set more.

Interesting. I too have the Nalgene Canteen and agree that the taste is neutral compared to the GI plastic canteen, though the taste didn't bother me at the time I had to use to it. I have the Canteenshop stove and lid, though purchased from somewhere else. I hate both. The lid is very heavy for little benefit. It does speed up the cooking time, allows you to slow cook over coals and generally be lazy about leaving the stove in the coals for hot whatever when you want it without worry of bugs and ashes getting in. The stove is not as heavy but even more useless. If using esbit/sterno/fire gel/etc, it's easy enough to find some rocks, twigs, or scoop dirt out underneath the stove to allow fuel underneath. The black rubber heavy cover is useful if you want to make an almost waterproof container using one on an canteen cup. Good to know the canteen stove is higher quality and has measurements on the side.

I have some good comparison pictures but getting them posted is a pain from over here. I've used the USGI canteen for years, but I actually prefer the NATO canteen setup and that plastic mug does come in handy. Not that the USGI steel canteen cup is bad, but the Crusader cup is much more robust and slightly larger and as mentioned as good measurements stamped in. What I like about the NATO canteen is the slightly larger mouth...easier to fill with. I will say that of the USGI canteens, I much prefer the soft ECHO version and never had an issue with them; plus they are less likely to burst if allowed to freeze. As mentioned the Heavy Lids are well made, but...heavy. I still have a much thinner aluminum one made that works well enough to keep out falling ashes/bugs, easier to pull off with stick to check on your boiling water/chow and is lighter and flatter for better storage.

^+1 - that's wayyyyyyyy too expensive.

It looks nice - compact, solid kit, but not for $125. If they get realistic about their pricing they'll sell more....

Thanks for the link Dave. That's much better. Though, it's still too expensive. The website itself is nice though I may order some other stuff from there in the future.
