Last minute I managed to get a day off during the kids spring break, and we decided to go to Natural Bridge SP here in Ky. I believe we were very close to Kyenglish's stomping grounds, and had it been planned a little more in advance I would of tried looking him up. He's got a nice collection of JK's going that I haven't seen in person.

Here is the natural bridge, if you look close there are two people standing on the left.



My kids did great hiking and had a lot of fun. They asked about the bears, but when I showed them we had a JK Knife all was well.





They both wanted to pose with the model 5.

It was a short trip but the weather was great, makes me want to get out more.
 
I always enjoyed going to Kentucky when I was a kid. My Dad had an old Army buddy who lived near Bardstown, who used to show us around. Your kids are getting big!
 
That's a beautiful spot that I haven't visited in 35 years. Guess I'm overdue for a return trip.

To have lived in KY for as long as I have, it's a shame that I have never been.... Might have to put in on the list for this fall...
 
Your kids look happy and easily amused! They look like good kids, enjoy this time while you can.

We love the natural bridge area, sky bridge to, in fact there is a half marathion beoiing organised for the Red River Gorge Area in september called "The Rugged Red" taht I have signed up for, wish me luck, especilay since it's been years since I ran mroe then 4 miles in a row! :s

I used to go there all the time for quick trips when I lived in Ohio, It's really a beautiful place to hike and camp.
 
Thanks for sharing. That's near where I live. Took my kids there for the 1st time a few months ago. Rattlesnake went right across our path on our hike back down.
