I need flint. I can't remember if I already asked this but I need to secure some high quality flint. Not fero rods but natural flint.

The urgency comes because I just got an e-mail from a maker whose making me some awesome strikers to watch my mailbox.

next scheduled flurry of emotion approximately mail time tomorrow.

You may use quartz instead of flint. It works very well.
I have also bought flint (chert) from the internet. Thomas Elpel, I believe, has flint for sale.

I've heard that pyrite also works.

You should be able to find flint, chert, quartz, and pyrite anywhere where they sell semi-precious stones. Go to an education-oriented kid's toy store, or one of those "new age" shops at most major malls, or the gift shop at most national parks--or you could go out and try to find it.
