Is this knife or another with a 7.5-8.5 blade going to be made by Busse within the next month or so?

I'd like to buy a Busse knife directly from the company without spending the mark up charges on the secondary market.

Thanks.

The SAR 8 was available at the Busse Company Store until very recently. There may be some more models of that coming soon. Not really sure though. There was also a "press release" from Jerry and Amy recently saying that Busse will be offering a small, medium and large size blade full time starting soon, so you probably won't have to wait long to get what you are after.

Don't ignore the secondary market right now. Keep your eye on it. If you take into account shipping charges, there are some offerings of recent models out there that are at or near original prices.

Its amazing how many Busse knives are going for equal or less than ticket price! Your missing out on a LOT of good deals right now by ignoring the secondary market.

I believe that that one well known collector told you much the same a couple of weeks ago, and since a handful of knives that size have gone at list.

Nobody except Jerry knows what will be sold next, and when...and even he's not sure! :p

Now is a Great time to buy on the secondary market.

Over all, pricing is down 25% to 35%, compared to a little over a year ago.

About every SFNOLE that has sold has been at cost. That is shocking to me! It might be one of Jerry's best offering for general all around use.

About current offerings. I would expect a mid-sized model to come out from Busse soon. They recently posted that they'll be offering 3 models at a time. Busse will be offering one small, medium and large blade simultaneously from the website (PHENOMENAL IDEA by the way) The mid-sized probably coming is the Team Gemini. A thread on that is on page three right now. Keep your eyes peeled :D

Never take your eyes off the exchange if you are on the hunt for a knife, it's a fabulous resource.

I had a SAR 8 on the exchange for less than cost .... it was there for a while .... I pulled it to do some testing and give it a taste of the "dolce vita" .... I am pleased I did .... "you don't know how to appreciate a knife until you have abused it" ...:D:thumbup:

The SAR8's showing up on the exchange have been mighty tempting. I'm hoping to find a really ugly, stained, beat up, hard user for a song at some point, but it seems like, after people use them, they hold onto them..

They are good ... .... and once a knife has your DNA stamped over it as a "user" .... they are hard to part with .... :)

Not a fan of the SAR8 but I do like the SARSquatch for some reason...The SAR8's are pricey for what they are as well imo especially when the outlaw was less money for more knife.

The SFNOLE was only sold to Hogs, and that real good price was only after paying a higher price for the first one.

I have seen SFNOLEs going below new price and was lucky to sell mine for a little more. Regardless, prices really have come down a lot. I remember when a sabre SFNO could get you 800$. Now there's an original run with Tiger machined slabs sitting around and 250$ less.

As for next models, only the shop knows. If you want something specific, though, head over to the exchange. There are great knives there for good prices. Trust us.

If you are patient, you might score a really cheap SARSquatch. One just sold for $270, and I got one last summer for $240.

Don't forget, you can post on the Wanted To Buy forum, and you can get quick responses (sometimes) from that.

OUTLAWs rock!!!
