Hi,

Just recieved my Alumite Navigator and while its an excellent peice of kit with perfect ergonomics theirs one minor issue.

Just where the lock-back meets the tail of the blade (non-technical terms I know ;) ) the finish doesn't exactly seem to be as flush as with my other spydercos.

I was just curious if this was normal for a Navigator or if I've picked up a lemon ?

Cheers

IMO unless you have a wad of pocket lint or other crud in there I'd send it back, all mine fit flush. Ron

My one knife looks exactely like that one. While the one I have still in the box has about half as much lip to it.

Aye its not the best fit :( Their shouldn't be any lint in it as it was only recieved 'new' this week.

I've also just noticed that when holding the blade towards the tip the blade and especially the blade pivot / pin can be felt to exibit a degree of movement (albeit small)both back and forth and side to side.
I'm assuming this also is abnormal?

Yes, there should be no movement at all.

I'm not sure the movement has anything to do with your lock not being totally flush with the tail of the blade. My Delica looks like that, maybe a little less, but there is no wobble in any way.

Aye,

I was a little put out by that :(

The blade movement i thought ok but the pin and washer's movement seemed very odd.

I've contacted the company I bought it from and they've offered to exchange it :)
