Navigator w/aluminum skeletonized handle

Has anyone seen or purchased this knife? I just saw one and was tempted, but I don't have experience w/aluminum handled knives. Is aluminum pretty durable (compared to stainless steel)?

Or should I stick w/the G-10 handle?

I also had the same question. I've been looking at the navigator and the aluminum walker from Ironstone. Are the Aluminum handles similar to the microtechs?
