I was wondering if anyone has used navy jelly to remove rust?

Naval jelly is phosphoric acid in a gel .It is good for removing light rust.Coke Cola also contains phosphoric acid ! Heavier rust requires other methods.

I've never had god luck with Naval Jelly. I did use POR-15 (its a 3-step process) to treat a very old, very rusted machete I found in the garage. It only seems fairly light use during the summer splitting tinter and stuff like that at the cabin, but its held up well for the first season.

I've used a lot of Naval Jelly on my old pickups, works good for light rust removal.
Water clean up, which is great.
