Is anyone else getting excited about these? I just managed to grab the last of the four that I was looking for and am pumped to have been able to find all four for a complete set. I think it's great that we have seen some very traditional patterns from GEC over the last couple years. The old school stuff is what it is all about for me. Now for the agony of waiting on the postman!!!!!

I am waiting on a few things tomorrow and these in the mail is one. I wasn't fond of the cola jig and knew I wouldn't carry it, so I passed. I got the other three though. I'm waiting anxiously for that package. I really hope USPS doesn't blow it...

Nope this is one blade shape that I fortunately can say I am not interested in.

I'm excited as well! I'm eagerly awaiting the arrival of the cola jig version I scored! I know what you mean abiggs, the older patterns that gec produces are my favorite also.

I can understand what you mean jrawk. I'm not sure I'm gonna love this one for carry, but I guess it's the 'preserving history' thing that really draws me to this pattern.

Yeah it is a pretty neat reproduction.. I really like the jigging pattern on most of them. Hope you enjoy yours ☺

My brother is getting the red one. He spent time in the Navy. I scored one in cocobolo.

Hmmm? I don't know how I missed these. Congratulations to those who scored on these impressive knives.

These knives were quite elusive, even to the ones in the know. I've been following this run since Waynorth posted about his SFO knife and still had trouble procuring one of these! I purchased one from an authorized dealer, only to receive an email about an hour later saying I had been given a refund, because they were sold out. The search went on, I diligently checked every gec dealer periodically for two days and just when I had given up hope I decided to check one last last time before I accepted that they were all gone. To my surprise I found one! On a dealers website I had never purchased from before, without hesitation I bought it! I'm excited to get this knife in hand, I think it will make an excellent utility knife, perfect for opening boxes and scoring various materials, something I do a lot of at work. Thanks for the congrats Stand Straight!
