I picked up a Navy MK1 at a garage sale and I'd love to know it's history and age,(primarily) and maybe get an idea of it's value. It's got blk. hardware, blk. 5" blade, stacked leather handle. "USN MARK1" and "camillus NY" on blade, "USN MK1" and "nord 6804 BM Co 1/0 V*P*" on the hard plastic olive sheath.
Thanks!

First, welcome to blade forums! Second, I'm sure once Tom Williams from Camillus sees this post, he'll give you plenty of information.

Camillus made the Mark I knives during WWII. Several hundred thousand
were produced. I have the original records for the Mark I. If you would like copies, without charge, just e-mail me your postal mailing address.
