I can't seem to get a clear picture on what is OK in NC
folders under 4" seem OK
What about fixed blades? I like to carry my Falkniven F1 IWB.
I saw a part of the law where is says, more or less,a defence to a concealed weapon charge is that the weapon is a knife. So whats that mean?

This is the way I understand it, which may not be legal, but its what I do. You can carry a pocket knife with a blade under 4". No limit as far as I know. ;) You can carry a fixed blade openly. You can not carry a fixed blade conceled. Does it happen?? I'm sure it might. If the handle is visible is it open carry?? I don't know. The state attorney general would be the final authority. I don't know if he/she has email or a website. No telling. For the best info try the AKTI forum here on Bladeforum's.

Try www.findlaw.com for all state laws.

CAUTION: The "raw" statutory law you find frequently has case-law interpretations. These are sometimes more significant than the statutory wording.

Try checking with local law enforcement authorities as well.

Good luck and be careful out there.:)
